Evangelicals now stand among those who are on easiest terms with the world, for they have lost their capacity for dissent.

About This Quote

Many Christians today feel that they have been duped. They feel that the world has become a more difficult place to live and that they cannot live in accordance with Scripture anymore. They question whether or not Christians should even try to live a life of integrity if the world is not going to do what Jesus taught. The world today has been transformed from a place of sin and darkness to one of comfort and ease for most people.

But, Jesus said that we would not enter God’s Kingdom until all people draw near to Him (Matthew 25:31-40). So, how can we expect people who have embraced the loving ways of the world to be willing to embrace Jesus?
